If you want to make a shield in Minecraft, you need the materials below:
- Iron Ingot (1)
- Wood Planks (60)
For your information, you can use any type of wood plank such as the Oak, Birch, etc.

- Open the Crafting Table
First, you need to open the crafting table if you want to make a new item. Then, the grids will appear on your screen.
- Add Ingredients
The same as we said before, you can craft a Shield by An Iron Ingot and 6 Wood Planks. You need to put the ingredients in the exact pattern of the recipe. You can see the image below for more.
Put 2 Wood Planks in box number 1 and 3 in the first row, the iron ingots between them. Then, put all Wood Plank on the second row. Last, put an iron ingot in the middlebox of the third row.
