The splash potion is an important item in Minecraft. You can brew it using many ingredients combination. A splash potion of weakness may be the one that you were looking for in Minecraft. So, now Wowkia will give you the splash potion tutorial step by step and the relevant needed screenshots.

When you throw this potion to a player or mob, it will give the weakness effect and reduce their attack damage by 0.5 for 1 minute and 7 seconds.

Required Materials

  • Potion of Weakness
  • Gunpowder
  • Brewing Stand

Total Time: 5 minutes

Open the Brewing Stand Menu

First, you need to open the brewing stand menu to make the potion.

Add Blaze

Then, you need to add blaze powder to the left box as fuel for the brewing stand. You can look at the image below.

Add Weakness Potion

In the brewing stand menu, you can place the ingredients in the top box. Put Potion of weakness on one of these three boxes.

Add Gunpowder

Next, you need to add the gunpowder to the top box of the Brewing Stand menu.

Finish

After the process finished, you will hear “glup glup glup” sound, the ingredients in the top box will disappear. Then, the item will be made and you can put it in the inventory.

Splash Potion of Weakness 2 (Duration – 4:00)

In addition, you can also make a potion with a longer duration. You need gunpowder for the ingredient. To make it, repeat the tutorial above, and make sure you use the potion of the weakness 2 (4:00) when brewing it.

Apart from being thrown at players and mobs, you can use the potion to scatter weakness cloud. You can make a lingering Weakness Potion in Minecraft.
