It has been a few weeks since the Dragonspine snowy mountains area unlocked. Have you gotten all the treasures in Dragonspine? Including the rare 4-star weapons, Snow-Tombed Starsilver, Frostbearer, and Dragonspine Spear. After you got those weapons, it needs a certain material to craft it and refine it further. It is the Starsilver.
Like I said in the previous guide on exploring Dragonspine, you should mine Starsilver every time you find one. It is for crafting these Dragonspine-special weapons, and you’ll need it in the Dragonspine Spear quest. You can also use it to craft a Warming Bottle in case you want to travel Dragonspine more safely. Or maybe for some Mystical Enhancement Ore?
The Starsilver spawn locations and spawn time
For me, I usually farm it on Snow-Covered Path, Starglow Cavern, and Entombed City Outskirts. That’s because I usually find a cluster of Starsilver there, and if you’re lucky enough, you might get 2 per ore. The spawn time is about 48 hours, but I might be wrong, though.
You need 50 to craft Dragonspine-special weapons. You can get that amount in about 2 hours of farming in these marked locations. Make sure to eat Goulash or keep a warming bottle with you to keep the Sheer Cold in the safe zone. It’s because your journey might be rough with all these icy hilicurls, whopperflowers, Cicin Mages, and Fatuis hanging around.
Also, be careful when you wander to the southern part of Dragonspine since it has a harsher Sheer Cold.
