The game Fortnite has gone through a lot of changes, especially when it comes to maps. Slowly, the new Fortnite map began to differ from the old Fortnite map in Season 2. Like appearance, objects, place names, and others.

Fortnite players who have played since season 1 feel the difference between the old and new maps in Fortnite.

The easiest to notice is loot, where ever since Fortnite Season 2 started, all players have a fair chance of winning the game. Unlike during Fortnite Season 1, some players might be able to get some good loot. But for the others, it has almost no loot at all. So here is the old Fortnite map Vs the new map comparison.

When it comes to Athens, many players are pretty interested in the presence of POIs, these new locations make the gameplay even more different.

For example, the Leaning Tower used to be a center where people often descended to look for loot, while the Salt Springs was a place that had almost no loot.

Inexperienced players can drop in at Salty Springs or Junk Junction, places many players rarely visit.

As for Sweaty Sands and Dirty Docks at Apollo, both locations do offer good loot. But strangely enough, not many players have fought over this location since Fortnite Season 2 started.

The new map does have some interesting POIs. For example, the Spire, Bony Burbs, and Colossal Crops go hand in hand with the current season’s theme in Fortnite.

But these places would also suffer the same fate as the Colossal Coliseum or the Agency. They will disappear once the storyline is complete, which in some cases is not enough time for players to explore it in its entirety.
