After WandaVision put Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in the spotlight to kick off Phase 4, the villain instantly became a fan favorite in the MCU. Now, Marvel already has plans to bring Hahn back for his mysterious solo project, titled Agatha: House of Harkness, which will debut on Disney+ as part of the MCU’s new release roster.
At this time, there’s no hint of what specific story the Disney+ spinoff Agatha will bring, or even who will actually appear in the series alongside Hahn’s cunning WandaVision antagonist.
The more pressing question is when exactly fans expect House of Harkness to start streaming on Disney+, with only a few updates on that front since it was first announced at Disney+ Day 2021.
Disappointing Filming Update Agatha Harkness
Earlier this year, reports hinted that the spinoff would get cameras rolling in October, potentially seeing Agatha return to the MCU sometime in 2023; However, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore, as another reliable insider has given new hope as to when the show can start filming.
Charles Murphy of Murphy’s Multiverse took to Twitter to share a disappointing update on the production schedule for Marvel Studios’ Agatha: House of Harkness, suggesting that the show may be arriving later than fans expected.
According to Murphy, the Disney+ spinoff Kathryn Hahn won’t start shooting until next year (2023). This appears to be a change of plans from the original October 2022 production start date, though it’s unknown how concrete those plans are.
Agatha Harkness rocked the world her entire time at WandaVision last year, even being part of the show’s Emmy-winning quest for her hit musical number “Agatha All Along.” The song itself makes fans want to see what the powerful Salem wizard will do in his own solo story, but apparently, that won’t be coming for quite some time. Agatha: House of Harkness will now start shooting sometime in 2023.
