Harry Styles made his debut in the MCU’s Eternals and will play a role in the next Marvel film. During his introduction, Styles’ Starfox arrives with Patton Oswalt’s Pip the Troll to offer his assistance to Thena, Druig, and Makkari to save Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos from Arishem’s clutches.
Now, many are wondering where Eros and the other Eternals will appear next in the MCU. Rumors recently spread that Starfox could appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, something that has been handled by director James Gunn.
Will Starfox Harry Styles Return in Guadian of The Galaxy 3?
During a recent interview with ExtraTV, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn responded to rumors that Starfox Harry Styles would reprise his Eternals role with a surprise cameo.
Unfortunately, when asked directly about the rumors, Gunn was quick to dismiss the speculation with a “no” answer.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently teased the “exciting” future of Styles’ Eros in the MCU, but Gunn has now made it clear that it won’t be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Harry Styles’ debut as Starfox in Eternals took fans by surprise, especially given the insane fame of the One Direction star. His short-lived cameo set the way for Eros, Thanos’ brother, to play a major role in Eternals 2 as he aids half of the immortals in saving the others from the hands of Arishem the Judge.
Marvel Studios still has a lot of gaps left in Phase 6, so there’s plenty of opportunity for Eternals 2 to take its place in the Multiverse Saga.
To stay focused on the original Guardians group, Gunn will be able to provide the most satisfying conclusion to the story he has made since 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits theaters on May 5, 2023.
