The news of the Fantastic Four’s return to Marvel Studios made a number of Marvel comic fans enthusiastic. However, there are also those who express their feelings of palpitations because the two versions of the film released in 2005 and 2015 received a lot of negative comments.
However, it seems that Marvel Studios, which is still led by Kevin Feige, has prevented the elements that could have made their version of Fantastic Four labeled a bad film. One of them is by erasing the origins of the four members of Marvel’s first superhero family.
This was revealed by Kevin Feige in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter recently. The statement follows the announcement regarding the certainty of production plans for the Marvel Studios version of the Fantastic Four at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 last weekend.
In his explanation, Kevin Feige emphasized that almost everyone in all corners of the world already knows the origins of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing through a number of comics, cartoons, and the previous two films.
Different Compared to Previous Versions
Kevin Feige also implies that his party will present something that the audience has never seen while enjoying the Fantastic Four film on the big screen later.
It seems almost similar to the scene they showed in Spider-Man: Homecoming. There is no origin of Peter Parker being the figure of Spider-Man.
“A lot of people know this origin story. A lot of people know the basics. How do we take it and bring something they’ve never seen before?” said Kevin Feige.
“We have set very high standards for ourselves by bringing it to the screen.”
The four Fantastic Four characters whose real names are Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm have previously been appointed to the big screen by 20th Century Fox in 2005 and its sequel two years later.
Unfortunately, the film was not made into a trilogy, but a reboot version made in 2015 at the hands of director Josh Trank who was praised for the film Chronicle. But instead of reaping praise, the film was heavily criticized and the studio judged him to be an uncooperative director.
After a long time making Marvel fans have high hopes to see just one Fantatic Four character, finally Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic appears in the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with actor John Krasinski.
