Joe Brother Rejects Rumors Of Directing Mcu Secret Wars

The two best duets who handled the Infinity and Endgame events, which are currently still unknown, will return to direct another MCU project or not. But some time ago, the two Joe and Anthony Russo said they were focusing on their projects.

When the Multiverse began to be explored and introduced to the MCU, many fans were quickly drawn to wanting to jump into the big event, Marvel Secret Wars. What’s more, when the Multiverse introduced a bit of chaos in Doctor Strange 2, it led fans to suggest getting Secret Wars.

Will the Russo Brothers Return and Direct the MCU’s Secret Wars?

Based on the source, the Secret Wars comics were written by Jim Shooter and illustrated by Mike Zeck and Bob Layton. This comic show was released by Marvel Comics in 1984.

Following the title, a lot of chaos and collapse happens there and makes many superheroes conflict with each other. Worse yet, this also brings problems to other superheroes from the Multiverse, meaning variants and confusing things.

The Secret War event sees all the superheroes (Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four) and villains in the Marvel Universe face off against each other in a place called the Battleword.

Some fans would have hoped that the directors of Infinity War and Endgame would also get a position there to tackle Secret War, but sadly the two people we’re talking about here simply turn that down.

In previous interviews, Joe and Anthony Russo have expressed interest in adapting the Secret Wars story. But unfortunately, until now, Marvel has not started discussions about the adaptation of Secret Wars. And recent reports Joe and Anthony Russo have debunked rumors that they will be directing a Secret Wars film.

Will the MCU Bring The Two Back There?

In an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Russo brothers discussed the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and directing the film Secret Wars.

But when asked if Marvel Studios had discussed the project with them, Joe Russo replied, “there were no conversations with Marvel at all.”

Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed they would not attend the San Diego Comic-Con event. The reason is, that the two have not talked about upcoming MCU films and are also busy with other projects being worked on. Hopefully, the MCU can find the best option for Secret War if it happens soon.
