Thor Love and Thunder will be coming to the cinema in July 2022 featuring new and returning characters. Marvel Studios has confirmed characters that will appear, the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy will be friends with Thor in this film. Except for Gamora because he is dead in Avengers Infinity War.
There are also some characters like Jane Foster as Mighty Thor, Gorr The God Butcher (Villain), Zeus, Valkyrie, Peter Quill, and other characters.
Thor Love and Thunder story will pick up after the Event of Avengers End Game, that film dramatically changed the character of Thor and make him gain Stormbreaker. Thor God of Thunder
Thor Love and Thunder characters confirmed firstly is Thor God of Thunder.
After the events of Thor Ragnarok and Avengers Infinity War, Thor has become depressed because he lost so many things including his brothers Loki. He also blames himself because failed to stop Thanos.
But after succes defeating thanos in the event of Avengers End Game, Thor decides to start a new journey exploring space with Guardians of The Galaxy.
Jane Foster as Mighty Thor
The most interesting thing in Thor Love and Thunder is the appearance of Jane Foster as Mighty Thor with Mjolnir in his hand. This is will be a new chapter of the story Thor in MCU.
Jane Foster lastly appears in the movies Thor 1 and Thor 2: Dark World, after that she decided to end his relationship with Thor and want to live a normal life. The reason why Jane Foster returns in Thor Love and Thunder is because Thor needs their help fighting the villain called Gorr the God Butcher.
In the comics, Jane Foster gains the power of Mighty Thor after Thor is no longer worthy. However she still has to pay for the power as Superhero Mighty Thor. After gaining that ability, Jane Foster has cancer, and Mjolnir powers can do chemotherapy every time she transforms into Mighty Thor. But Jane Foster can only transform into Mighty Thor outside Earth.
Gorr the God Butcher
The movie Thor Love and Thunder will unlike anything that Thor ever faced, this is about how he find an inner peace. But his journey was interrupted by a galactic killer that known as Gorr the God Butcher, the person who want the extinction of the gods (Thor Love and Thunder Characters Villain).
Gorr the God Butcher becomes a god killer due to his tragic upbringing and learning that the gods is real but neer answer his or his family’s prayers. After that, he decides that if gods do exist but fail to respond to the prayers of their worshipers, then they don’t deserve to live.
Zeus
Thor Love and Thunder also introduce another new characters name Zeus, the God like Odin, Thor and other. In this film Thor and Zeus will be the target for Gorr the God Butcher, maybe they two will team up.
Valkyrie
After the event of Avengers End Game, Thor decided to left Asgard and choose Valkyrie as the king of New Asgard. In Thor Love and Thunder, she will help Thor to fight his villain as known Gorr the God Butcher.
One of the most interesting Valkyrie is that she prefers to call the King instead of the Queen even knowing that she is a Woman.
Peter Quill and Some Characters Guardians of The Galaxy
The next Thor Love and Thunder character confirmed is Peter Quill A.K.A Star Lord the leader Guardians of The Galaxy.
Event Avengers Infinity War and Avengers End Game immediately created the possibility of a team up between Thor and Peter Quill. These 2 character was very interesting to watch because both of them often bring a comedy atmosphere.
There also some characters Guardians of The Galaxy like Rocket Racoon, Groot, Drax, Nebula, and Mantis in this film following they leader Peter Quill.
Kraglin
The Ravagers member Kraglin was last seen in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 during Yondu Funeral. Kraglin received Yondu fin around that time and never show up again after Avengers Infinity War began. He already confirmed will return in Thor Love and Thunder to help Guardians of the Galaxy.
Lady Sif
Thor Love and Thunder characters return next are Lady Sif that appear in the first two Thor Movies but couldn’t appear in Thor Ragnarok due to scheduling conflicts. She last appears in the Loki series, so it will be interesting to see Lady Sif again in Thor Love and Thunder.
Symbiote
The Thor Love and Thunder trailer show some footage of the Symbiotes fighting alongside or becoming Thor’s enemies.
