The MCU resident astrophysicist transforms into Mighty Thor in the film by being worthy of Mjolnir, but there’s a problem. The film reveals that Foster has developed cancer, and using Mjolnir only makes it worse.
Mighty Thor is a force to be reckoned with in Love and Thunder, aiding the God of Thunder Chris Hemsworth in his battle against Gorr the God Butcher. In the end, the new Thor managed to defeat Gorr, but Jane also met her end at end.
Is It Possible to Return the Mighty Thor?
Thor 4’s post-credits scene reveals that Jane could have a potential future in the MCU when it’s revealed that she has entered Valhalla. Now, Portman has outlined her future after Love and Thunder.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jane Foster actress Natalie Portman talked about her MCU future after Thor: Love and Thunder.
The MCU veteran first admitted that he was passionate about making films that his son, Aleph, liked. Another possible route is the Multiverse where Portman could play an alternate version of Jane Foster who is still Mighty Thor but without the tragic effects of cancer.
However, it was too soon to end Natalie’s role in the MCU. Her departure also felt less memorable, many fans were disappointed with her story. Hopefully, the best choices will come to this character as well as Natalie Portman as the actress. But remember, anything is possible with the Multiverse.
