The Tanning Rack is unlocked when you discover Flint, Deer Hide, and Leather Scraps. So, here are the required materials to make it:
- Wood (10)
- Flint (15)
- Leather scraps (20)
- Deer hide (5)
How to Make Tanning Rack in Valheim
If you want to make Tanning Rack, you can follow the steps below:

Open Crafting Menu
First, equip your hammer and click the RMB to open the crafting menu.
Open Crafting Tab
Then, select the Crafting tab by click it. You can also swipe the tab by pressing the [Q/E] key.
Select Tanning Rack
Select Tanning Rack from the list. as you can see, the Tanning Rack recipe includes 10 woods, 15 flints, 20 leather scraps, and 5 deer hides. Of course, you need a workbench around you.

Place this structure around near your Workbench. Usually, players place it in the house. It is 2 meters from the Workbench.
