Continuing with their own upcoming project, Sony is starting to get progress on this new part of the franchise. With Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius producing mixed results, many are interested to see how Sony continues its Spider-Man spin-off universe.

For your information, the film has been slightly delayed until October 6, 2023, which should have given the filmmakers more time to sort things out.

With filming now officially making progress, fans are getting a little glimpse of what’s in this weird Sony image. Earlier images from the Madame Web set revealed a first look at Dakota Johnson, who some say appears to resemble a certain version of her comic book counterpart.

Adam Scott Seen on Madame Web Set

JustJared shared photos from Sony’s Madame Web in Boston, revealing a first look at actor Severance Adam Scott shooting for the film as his yet-to-be-announced character. A full picture of Scott on set, as shared by Twitter user @ledtasso, can be seen below:

With Parks and Recreation being one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, and Severance having proven so successful of late, excitement is high for Adam Scott to join the Marvel universe. Granted, many hoped it would be in the MCU under the watchful eye of Marvel Studios, but Sony’s Spider-Man Universe had to.

Looking at Scott’s set photos, there’s no denying that he looks a lot like the older Peter Parker, Tom Holland is often seen wearing a similar blue shirt with a white t-shirt underneath. Depending on whether Scott appears in the Venom and Morbius universe or elsewhere in the Multiverse, maybe he could become Spider-Man from the Sony universe in the future. Madame Web hits theaters on October 6, 2023.
