As we know, on the same day, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio appeared on different shows and became a surprise for MCU fans. Not because of the debut, but because the second cast was you, who made a comeback from the Netflix adaptation of Daredevil and crossed over to the MCU, as it turned out.

Well, the surprising thing is that the MCU uses the same person who played both characters on the Netflix show. And now, they’ll be reprising their roles as Daredevil and Kingpin in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Echo series.

Return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio

In what may be the most exciting Marvel news this week (and considering this is the same week Thor: Love and Thunder came out, that’s saying a lot), Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are set to reprise their respective roles as Matt Murdock and Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk in the upcoming Marvel series.

Revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the pair will appear in the Disney Plus series Echo. A spin-off of Hawkeye, the show is currently shooting in Atlanta and will see Alaqua Cox return as Maya Lopez, the spinoff’s titular character.

Cox and D’Onofrio originally played the roles of Murdock and Fisk in the critically acclaimed Netflix series Daredevil between 2015 and 2018. The show’s premature cancellation in 2019 sparked outrage but ultimately paved the way for the characters to join Marvel. Studios. Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Will Daredevil and Kingpin cross paths on the Echo?

Whether the version of the arch nemesis we met on the Echo will be the same version of the Netflix series is still unclear (as it remains unclear whether Marvel’s Netflix show is canon or not), but this will mark the second recently. MCU appearances for both actors, as Cox makes a brief cameo as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Kingpin D’Onofrio is Disney Plus’ Hawkeye.

Their return to the Echo suggests that they could come face-to-face in the MCU for the first time, a moment that is sure to confirm whether or not their Netflix history is canon. And that could be the start of their new chapter, as it was confirmed a few weeks ago that the Daredevil series is indeed in development for Disney Plus.
