DCEU and Warners Bross are still confused about the continuation of DCEU, of course this has an impact on fans. In the past week, Warner Bros. Discovery shocked the world of cinema when the studio immediately canceled Batgirl, a film in production.

As long as the DCEU has had multiple reboots and is not connecting between films with each other, this has caused questions to arise in nearly every upcoming DC project, with fans wondering if the likes of The Flash, Aquaman, and Shazam are safe. Speculation about Flash’s cancellation has run rampant in recent months, as film star Ezra Miller has been inundated with legal trouble.

Well, after almost radio silence about what WB has planned for Barry Allen and his pals, the studio has finally made a statement.

The Flash Still Running

As part of a recent investor call, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav reassured audiences that DC movies like The Flash were still coming, despite recent shocks.

Zaslav said he had “seen Flash, Black Adam, and Shazam 2” and the company was “very happy with them.”

Well, it seems The Flash along with the other DC films listed seem safe from the WB ax for now. Ezra Miller’s solo film is still almost a year away, and as fans learned last week, a lot can happen very quickly, especially with regards to the DCEU.

It feels more and more like The Flash will become an important film for Warner Bros., as it’s considered a reset point for this widescreen costumed canon.

No matter the legal troubles that befell its star, WB feels as though they need to get this film out, so they can put the films of nearly the last decade in the rearview mirror and move forward. The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters on June 23, 2023.
