The third Guardian of the Galaxy film will hit theaters in the Summer of 2023. The cast will appear at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The cast, as mentioned above, was there in person to share details from the third film.
Now, as is often the case with these convention-exclusive trailers, some enterprising fans in the audience are quietly using their phones to record screens, despite the fact that the studio strictly prohibits this.
About the Revealed Trailer
A video has surfaced online showing most of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailers shown at SDCC. The first look opens with Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians scrambling to prepare for an encounter with the Ravagers that Nebula seems to have promised.
This was something Quill was not aware of and he was very surprised to hear that their appointment was specifically with Gamora. It was confirmed during the Marvel panel that Gamora is the new leader of the Ravagers. “You’re early.” he said, sternly as he came face to face with the Guardian’s crew.
Quill and Drax are seen standing proudly in blue Ravager uniforms reminiscent of what Rocket wore in Avengers: Endgame. Drax is, surprisingly, wearing a shirt, even though his character suffers from sensitive nipples.
And finally, before the video cuts, Adam Warlock’s Will Poulter is shown. Longtime Marvel fans will remember that Adam was created by Sovereign Queen Ayesha in the post-credits scene attached to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Director James Gunn and several of the film’s cast have noted by saying Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the final chapter for this particular team. As such, fans are preparing for the worst as many characters can end up biting the bullet and not making it out of the film alive. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
