And then, the Russo brothers announced their newest project. According to Collider, Jow and Anthony Russo are directing The Electric State, which “follows a runaway teenage girl and her robot on a journey through an alternate reality of 1997 USA.”
The writers for the project are Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, these are the same people who worked on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and even Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The Electric State begins filming this October in Atlanta, GA.
But many MCU fans will ask, can Russos come back for Avengers 5? The clue was that during Scarlett Johansson’s legal battle with Disney, it was reported that the Russo Bros. had hit a stalemate in negotiations to direct another MCU film. Hopefully, they can come back to direct the MCU project again.
