In Marvel Studios many agendas to announce upcoming films and Disney Plus shows, Captain America is one of them. The latest film from the Marvel superhero character Captain America recently received confirmation regarding its release date.

Marvel Studios as the party that oversees the production of the MCU films has decided that May 4, 2023, will be the official date for the fourth film. This film will not only be a continuation of this superhero story. The reason is Sam Wilson aka The Falcon will take over the position of Steve Rogers as the main character. As well as the figure and users of the new Captain America costume later.

Captain America 4 Release Date

Marvel Studios officially set the fourth solo film of the character Captain America. Titled Captain America: New World Order, the film will be released on May 4, 2023.

The announcement was made when Marvel Studios attended San Diego Comic-Con 2022. The film will be part of the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as announced by Kevin Feige.

In this event, Marvel not only announced the release schedule for the fourth Captain America film. Previously, we have reported several projects both films and television series that will enter the fifth and sixth phases of the MCU.

First Movie Without Chris Evans

Captain America: New World Order will certainly bring a little new breath to the character previously held by Steve Rogers. After retiring he was on the show Endgame. His close partner, Sam Wilson, already has a strong determination to become Steve Rogers’ replacement.

In the series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We’ll see the dynamics of Sam in his journey to make that decision. Although previously, the appointment of Sam as the successor to Captain America was indeed at the wish of Steve Rogers who provided his iconic shield at the end of the Avengers: Endgame film.

The loss of Steve Rogers certainly makes the name Chris Evans will not be back in the fourth film. Anthony Mackie, who previously played a supporting role since the second Captain America film, has now officially got the main role replacing Evans.

Captain America: New World Order will be directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox). Apart from Anthony Mackie, no new actors or other MCU actors are confirmed to be in the film.
