Chris Evans Fantastic Four is a thing of the past, some people love that version of the character played by the same man like Captain America in the MCU. Strangers or we can call young MCU fans may not know this, because they have never seen the first Fantastic Four film adaptation.

The Fantastic Four will be part of the MCU now that an acquisition has been made to take back the franchise under the Marvel Studios umbrella. Marvel Studios has a long agenda to prepare the franchise the right way.

Marvel Studios Fantastic Four is arguably one of the MCU’s most anticipated new entries after Disney reclaimed the rights to the characters from 20th Century Fox. One of the proofs that they were really ready for this project was when that team leader appeared in Doctor Strange 2. And if you know it, Chris Evans was a part of the old Fantastic Four movies.

Will Chris Evan’s Fantastic Four Happens Again?

A lot of hope came from the fans, even from the oldest version and also from the fans of the MCU. And after the last four years, Chris Evans’ Fantastic Four starred there, one might find it odd if he actually returned to play the character.

Even though he felt done and also shown to us, Evans is always open to commenting on where the MCU is headed and how Captain America’s legacy lives through Phase 4.

Of course, this will be possible when the Multiverse can be crossed by many creatures. This is truly as workable as when the Multiverse has brought in legacy characters like previous versions of Spider-Man and Black Bolt Anson Mount. Based on that thing, opening the door for Evans to potentially play Johnny Storm once again with the right story and asking Evans how he feels about the matter, the Marvel star will make it happen.

About Chris Evans Wants to Comeback as Johnny Storm

Thedirect.com reports, speaking with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz, former MCU star Chris Evans expressed his desire to reprise his role as Johnny Storm from Fox’s Fantastic Four films, which were released in 2005 and 2007.

When asked about the rumors teasing his comeback via the Multiverse, Evans openly imagined how cool it would be to see him:

Horowitz: “Listen, I mean, you can’t get over how you came out as Cap, and it’s going to take things right in the end. Maybe who knows. But here’s my question. There are many rumors that you could return to the Multiverse as another Marvel character you played, Johnny Storm. Have they ever come to you?”

Evans: “Oh my God, isn’t that amazing? Isn’t that great?”

Evans admits that no one has approached him about reprising the role he played before he became Captain America in the MCU, even admitting how old he is now compared to when he first fit in as the Human Torch:

Horowitz: “Does that interest you?”

Evans: “No, nobody ever came to me about that. I mean, I’m not exactly the same anymore. That was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my God, I’m old. But I really like the character, but I thought… aren’t they doing something now with the Fantastic Four?”

Evans even compared this comeback to a potential return as Captain America, calling it an “easier sale” to get him playing Johnny Storm again through the Multiverse. While reiterating how special Captain America is to him, Evans admits that he would “love” the opportunity to play the Human Torch in the MCU Multiversal project:

Horowitz: “Yes, it is, but as you know, in the Multiverse, all bets are [off]… you can have six different Johnny Storms.”

Evans: “Yeah, I think that’s true. I mean, I guess all bets are off. Yes. Look, I’m going to like it. i will like it. That would actually be an easier sell for me than coming back as Cap. You know what I mean? Cap is very precious to me. And you know, I almost don’t want to disturb how wonderful the experience was. But Johnny Storm, I feel like he’s not really getting his day. That was before Marvel really found its footing. So I loved the role and, you know, who knows.”

Chris Evans’ final journey as Johnny Storm took place 15 years ago with Jessica Alba’s Invisible Woman and Michael Chiklis’ Thing as the team defeated Silver Surfer and Galactus. Even with his journey as Captain America almost definitively over, hearing him so open to a return as Human Torch opens up many new possibilities for the exciting MCU storyline.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fully introduces the concept of alternative reality, even bringing a taste of the MCU’s first Fantastic Four with John Krasinski’s Reed Richards. While the franchise doesn’t yet have a Human Torch version, the legacy version of the hero Evans could bring something unique to the table as the MCU develops its own version of Marvel’s First Family.

It’s unclear when the MCU will take another Multiversal journey, and there’s still no sign of when the MCU’s Fantastic Four will begin production and feature its own Johnny Storm. Still, seeing Chris Evans so willing to reprise his own role only heightens the anticipation of seeing more Fantastic Four under the Marvel Studios umbrella.
