While fans now have over a dozen shiny new MCU toys to look forward to in Phases 5 and 6, Phase 4 kicks off in 2021 with some amazing stories in its own right. Arguably at the top of the pile is Tom Holland’s effort in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which became the third highest-grossing MCU film in history and one of the most-reviewed franchise entries to date.

No Way Home delivers some of the most incredible story beats in MCU Spider-Man history, ultimately giving it some of the iconic moments from the comics fans want to see on screen. From the iconic one-on-one fight with Green Goblin Willem Dafoe to learning about losing with the tragic death of Aunt May, this is the film where Peter Parker truly becomes Spider-Man.

But when will Tom Holland officially become Spider-Man?

Recently, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige addressed the issue, revealing what he considers the most significant moment for Tom Holland’s character incarnation.

Based on thedirect.com’s recap, during the interview behind “The Amazing Spider-Man Issue #900,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige described the moment when Tom Holland actually became Spider-Man in the MCU.

Chatting with editor Nick Lowe, Feige looked back at the scene in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming where Peter Parker lifts a pile of rubble off himself after wrestling with Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

Feige notes that this moment is when “Tom Holland really becomes Spider-Man,” also noting that this moment is one he’s wanted to do on screen “since (he) joined Marvel Studios.”

Now, Holland looks to reinvent his character once again in the upcoming Spider-Man 4, which is in the early stages of development behind Sony and Marvel. While there are no signs pointing to where it will fit into the newly-named Multiverse Saga, the friendly neighborhood hero won’t be too far from the action when it arrives. All three movies in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy are available for home viewing.
