Ms. Marvel has been one of Marvel Studios’ most-received Disney+ series to date. The introduction of the hero Faith Vellani also serves to add two big twists to the MCU.

For one, Kamala appears to be the first mutant to be revealed to audiences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Second, the show’s titular character just appeared and disappeared in the closing seconds of the show only to be replaced by Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers.

Potential Happens Between Kamala and Danvers

One has to wonder, what exactly was going through Kamala Khan’s brain when she realized what was happening? Well, who better to answer that question than the woman behind the character herself?

The actress confirmed how the post-credits scene was, in fact, “[shot] at The Marvels,” and that audiences would have to wait until next year to find out the behind-the-scenes context. In an interview with New Rockstars, Ms. Marvel Star Faith Vellani talks about the big post-credits scene with Carol Danvers and how Kamala feels when she lands on her destination.

When asked what the character might have experienced on an emotional level after the exchange, Vellani confirmed that it was “a lot of fear and excitement at the same time, that’s where he ended up.”

Since Kamala looks set to live on in The Marvels, audiences at least know that Carol isn’t flying through space when they switch places. It can go very badly.

Fans may also be wondering how the Kamala family will react to Carol Danvers just walking down their stairs. The family’s daughter is just starting to become a superhero, and crazy events are already happening non-stop for her, or at least, that’s how it seems. The Marvels will hit theaters on July 28, 2023.
