The She-Hulk series will debut on Thursday, August 18th getting closer. The event was an experiment for Disney, considering the format was far from the usual for the MCU and Star Wars events on Disney+. Beyond that, the show’s heavy reliance on CGI could be what makes or breaks the series for many viewers, especially given the criticism it garners.

Now, Marvel has been doing work to improve CGI in She-Hulk, as evidenced in the trailer that it has gradually improved over time. Recently, the She-Hulk star shared some insight into how it all came together, along with a trick that was also used in Thor: Love and Thunder.

She-Hulk Borrows Tricks from Thor 4 and Thanos

In a recent interview with Good Morning America, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany talked about how the film crew brought another side of Jennifer Walters to life. He pointed out that beyond the obvious mo-cap suit, the crew “would do these things where [he] wanted on the platform.”

This technique was also used by Natalie Portman in Thor: Love and Thunder to help illustrate the physical strength brought about by her transformation into Mighty Thor.

The crew also borrowed techniques used in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame to bring Thanos to life. Maslany recounts that sometimes “there are also things that don’t make sense like this frozen She-Hulk face” stuck to his helmet. Josh Brolin uses Thanos’ lookalike head on a pole above his helmet to help his co-actor see in the right places when talking to Thanos in the Avengers movies.

Fans will be feasting their eyes on Marvel’s second most famous superhero lawyer when She-Hulk: Attorney at Law debuts Thursday, August 18, only on Disney+.
