Fans were surprised to learn that the villain Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia would be one of the biggest villains of Avengers: Kang the Conqueror. Not only has Kang been built up as a significant threat at the end of Loki’s first season, but fans have long speculated that Kang will be the villain of this new MCU saga.
Of course, it wouldn’t be good for Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang or anyone close to him if Kang the Conqueror got involved as the villain who had destroyed the timeline and faced off against the Avengers in the comics alone.
About Kang Variant in Ant-Man 3 Trailer
A big villain like Kang will need a large team of heroes. With that in mind, it doesn’t help that new footage released at San Diego Comic-Con implies that this Kang has killed off most of the Avengers from other timelines.
A new exclusive trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia was released at San Diego Comic-Con, revealing new details from the film.
In new footage, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang is reading excerpts from his new book, “Look Out for the Little Guy,” to the crowd. It’s clear Scott hadn’t seen any action in the moments before he got a call from prison, arresting his daughter, Cassie Lang of Kathryn Newton.
Something in the lab exploded and started sucking everything into the Quantum Realm. They all end up in another world, navigating it in new suits when Krylar Bill Murray shows up, who knows Janet.
The most interesting part of the trailer is Kang’s interest in Lang beyond being an Avenger, which Kang rejects. Another possibility is that Scott will do something he hasn’t done yet, which Kang wants to prevent or ensure. It’s odd how Kang doesn’t seem too hostile towards Ant-Man, but that doesn’t mean he or anyone else is out of harm’s way.
Fans will find out Kang’s true motives when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
