Besides Madame Web, another spin-off from the Spider-Man character franchise is Silk aka Cindy Moon. In addition to their animation project, Spider-Verse, which tells the story of Miles Morales, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller, has also confirmed that they are developing several live-action series set in the Spider-Man universe. Of course what we mean here is Silk.
These projects will be entirely under Sony’s umbrella, so it’s important to remember that they won’t be part of the MCU. Silk, a Korean-American hero who was bitten by the same spider as Spider-Man. They recently provided an update to the series which sounds quite promising.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller recently sat down on Deadline’s Crew Call podcast to talk about the 2018 film sequel, Across the Spider-Verse, as well as the upcoming live-action Silk series. will be part of the Sony Spider-Man Universe.
Lord and Miller were asked about Across the Spider-Verse and Silk, specifically how the development process for the two projects is currently going. Lord speaks up and reveals that they handled everything “with great care”, and that “there was a very interesting start” with Silk. He also teased that there would be new developments about the upcoming event “someday.”
Since the pair are well-known in the superhero genre for producing animated films, many are questioning whether their upcoming show will be animated or live-action. Miller confirmed that Silk would be “live-action,” and when asked if any actors were cast, he replied, “Negative.”
Across the Spider-Verse was recently delayed, and is now expected to be released on June 2, 2023. Lord and Miller were asked about the delay and why they chose to move it back.
As far as Silk goes, there’s still absolutely no public information, but Lord and Miller say to expect something “soon.” They’re busy with Across the Spider-Verse right now, but Cindy Moon fans can expect to hear at least something sooner rather than later.
