Will Wesley Snipes Join MCU is a new topic as long as the new Phase is just getting progress to build. Previously, we were able to find out that Blade is one of many Marvel Studios film projects currently in development and about to start shooting. That movie is coming next year, meaning in 2023. But long before that, Wesley Snipes was done to play that character with the same title but in a different franchise umbrella.
That being said, nearly a quarter of a century ago, Wesley Snipes helped usher in a new era of superhero movies with the first film in the Blade trilogy, bringing Marvel’s ultimate vampire hunter to life. Characters are an anti-hero category based on their original source.
Will Wesley Snipes Join MCU?
Now, the anti-hero is set to make his long-awaited arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Mahershala Ali takes over for Marvel Studios’ own version of Blade. As with many upcoming Marvel Studios films due to all the new MCU projects, there is very little information about the MCU Blade film version.
In case you missed this, the main character playing Blade is a 48-year-old man, Mahershala Ali. But many fans who liked the previous version will expect Wesley Snipes to appear as part of the cast of any kind.
Snipes has commented on this, himself not knowing if that will happen as the film moves further into development. But there are hints for this, so look at them carefully.
Reports in ComicBook, as a Blade former star he said no, but then he said no. When asked if Marvel had contacted him about being in the next Blade film, Snipes simply said, “No, not yet.” He even joked about trying to get his acting skills up to par, hinting that the studio might wait until later for any new developments:
“I’m still working on my acting skills. So when I come up as an actor, maybe they’ll reach out and say, ‘Let’s have a conversation,’ or maybe they don’t feel I’m ensemble player.”
As of now, we don’t know the details even just for all the players joining is completely unconfirmed so far. But as we all know, since 18 months into Phase 4, Marvel Studios has brought back many of the old cast from the oldest film versions of their character franchises handled by other parties who borrowed or had absolute licenses at the time.
For example, we can see one of them being Evan Peters in WandaVision, nearly a dozen heroes and villains combined in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the entire Illuminati from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And this can be a start.
It doesn’t seem possible to bring him back as his own version of the Blade character, at least having him in a cameo or other role is a good thing for fan service.
The original trilogy, which was acquired between 1998 and 2004, maybe the reason why the MCU wants to make this franchise into their version in the near future. So, Blade will reportedly start shooting this July. There is no set time frame for its debut in theaters. Do you think he will return as an alternate version and appear in the Multiverse?
