As you know, Krasinski has become one of the most popular choices in casting fans for the role of Mr. Fantastic, and he’s been a part of the rumors surrounding the MCU for the past three years.

While fans are getting excited for him, the worst thing is coming from Doctor Strange 2 director, Sam Raimi. Report In the audio commentary for Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, director Sam Raimi comments on John Krasinski’s casting as Reed Richards.

“It’s so funny that Kevin [Feige] cast John [Krasinski] because the fans had a dream of who the perfect Reed Richards would be. And because this is an alternate universe, I think Kevin said, ‘Let’s make that dream come true.’ I’ve always really enjoyed all of his performances.’”

Raimi’s particular words have some fans worried that Krasinski was only cast because of his role in an “alternative universe” to fulfill fans’ dreams, worried that such a decision would imply that the actor might not return to play Richards from Earth-616.
