Hold the Map

First, select the map form your inventory and put it in the Hotbar. It’s very easy to create your own map.
Empty Maps

Fill the Map

You can fill the map details of your locations. If you are the PC/Windows 10 player, you can right-click. Besides that, the PS/Xbox/Nintendo can hold L2/LT/ZL to use the map.

Then, the empty map will turn to be a map in your Hotbar. Now, you have the map with the current position.

To see maps more clearly, you can change perspective by looking downwards. Your character is marked in white on the map, so you don’t need to be confused anymore
