What is PC Bottleneck, and How to Solve It?

Surely you see someone asking in a PC forum on social media about PC assemblies. And in that post, there are definitely many people who say about bottlenecks right?.

However, what exactly is a bottleneck? Why are many people who like PC always worried about this? So, that’s why Wowkia will tell you what a Bottleneck on PC is and how to solve it here.

What is a Bottleneck and How to Solve it

But before that, make sure you read carefully to avoid misunderstanding okay. If you understand, here are what bottlenecks on PC are and how to solve them.

Bottleneck is a condition where the performance of PC components cannot provide maximum performance because it is hampered by components or other factors, such as software, operating systems and others.

Generally, bottleneck itself occurs because the specifications of the components we use are not balanced. For example, we use an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G processor and pair it with an NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics card, of course the graphics card’s performance is too big than the processor and results to bottleneck.

Not only processors and graphics cards, hard disks can also cause bottlenecks on your PC. More precisely this is because the hard disk speed is too slow for the other up to date components.

How to Solve Bottleneck

Keep in mind that the method below may not work for you. All of the methods below will work depending on the components and software you are using (except upgrades).

Actually this method doesn’t really matter, but what’s the harm in trying? But before you overclock the components that are causing bottlenecks, make sure that these components have the overlock feature. What happens if you try to overclocking but the components themselves can’t do this?

Play CPU/GPU Bound Games

For this method it is very influential on the bottleneck. Because playing games that are CPU/GPU bound, surely one of these components will experience hard work depending on the game.

Still don’t get it? So, let’s say we have a bottleneck processor, if you play a game that requires more performance than a graphics card, like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the bottleneck will be drastically reduced and you won’t get stuttering in the game.

So, what do you think about this bottleneck PC article, it’s easy to understand right? If any of you want to ask about this bottleneck article, just say it in the comments column okay!
